In a series of tweets on Monday, former president Pranab Mukherjee said the government will set up a panel to study movies that “promote development and innovation” in the country.
It will also invite people to share their views on the topics.
He tweeted that the panel will be chaired by former deputy minister of state for technology Rajiv Gandhi.
He will also hold discussions with the chief minister and state ministers.
The government has also decided to set up an advisory committee on the topic.
According to a tweet by the ministry, the panel would be led by former minister of technology Rajesh Gavani and former minister for finance, Nirmala Sitharaman.
The other members of the panel, besides Gavan and Sitharama, will be former chief secretary and minister of the home department and the secretary of state.
